

I've just moved out of the North Fitzroy house I was minding, but before I left I photographed the little plant which I'd watched growing through the carpet for months. I'm not entirely sure how it got there, but somehow it persisted in this fuzzy terrain, and I'm sorry that it will inevitably be pulled out.
Is there something strange about the way we keep nature so firmly structured? I heard that if humans suddenly became extinct, it would only be a matter of weeks or months before plants make their way through the concrete.
